I like to picture my weight loss in sticks of butter, especially when it's been turned into sculpture.

Because I'm curious and because learning is FUN, I decided to figure out how many sticks of butter it took to make one of those people, and thereby if I've lost the same amount as a butter sculpture.
Let's take lady liberty for example. We'll ballpark her as 6' and average weight (170lb, BMI 23). We need to find her volume, which is the same in litres as it is in kilograms. 170lb = 77kg, so she has a volume of 77L.
77 litres = 2603.68 ounces. 16oz per pound, that's about 162lb. 4 sticks to a pound = 650 sticks of butter.
Apparently human flesh and butter weigh about the same, go figure.
This math moment brought to you by "Julie needs a break from playing with Excel at work and feels like doing some mathematical conversion! Please correct my numbers if I'm off! :)
