  1. What is red light therapy, and have any of you personally experienced it? (It's come up twice now, and I've not really looked into it. Thought maybe one of you had personal experience with it). OK, I admit, when the guy at the gym told me it helps with (and he rambled off a few things) skin tightening, my ears perked up.

  2. Can you honestly find a place online to enter someones name and get their address without going through a ton of places that try to charge you (Damn me for throwing out those phone books that show up sporadically throughout the year!) I want to send out Realtor Holiday calendars to a few people in our little town, but don't want them to know I don't already know their address! LOL

  3. WTH is this? Have you ever tried it???

In Texas we can look up the county appraisal districts for taxes and see names and addresses.

Red light therapy is a thing.  I don't know about tightening skin, but you can read about how it helps heal wounds in various scientific journals.

Here is one that discusses that blue light also has benefits https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25363448

I've been hearing about Skinny Sculpt. It's mainly for competition body builders. It zaps the fat under the skin so their muscles look chiseled. I've heard it tightens loose skin too. I want to look into it.

Here's some good scientific info (that's still fairly easy to read) about tissue tightening with red light therapy. If you look at the photo examples, the amount of skin they're working with is along the lines of "getting a facelift," rather than "getting an entire body lift after losing 200lb."

Definitely worth noting that they're reviewing clinical machines, rather than anything you might be able to buy for home use.

Given the amounts of skin many bariatric patients are dealing with, I remain skeptical that anything other surgery can handle it, but I'll be interested to see what further research comes out with.

So maybe something good will come of this and make my sagging neck rejuvenate if nothing else one of these days! LOL

I knew this red light therapy business the gym consultant was talking about was too good to be true... but I might still go check it out,  you know, since it comes with my membership already

Thanks for the readable article with smaller words! Hahaha! I tend to lose any type of retention when the syllables in an article get bigger than 4!

I looked up the dried cherry husks coffee flour.  This article explained it!  "Cascara" is a drink made from the dried "cherries" of the coffee bean.  Sounds like the coffee bean is the seed of a little fruit--called the coffee "cherry."  These cherries are saved, dried, and can be ground up.

Edit:  When I first posted this reply, I imagined that the ground up dried coffee cherries were brewed to make the Cascara drink.  But I kept searching and reading.  Sounds like

  1. The Cascara drink is made from the dried coffee cherries, sometime siwhpth other things like an herbal tea.
  2. Recently, some companies have started to grind the dried coffee cherries into a flour to be used in baking.  This flour is gluten free.
