scroll down to the credits and you will see that the author is a surgeon who has a lap band and owns a lap band clinic.

I checked the calendar, and it's not April 1st . . .

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.

And I truely laughed when I read it. I feel sorry for anyone who uses that article for reasoning for the band.

I'm guessing that according to this doctor we are failures....i mean we've only been able to maintain our weight loss for 10 + years with the DS, and there are countless others with the RNY and VSG that have reached their goal weight...but you know ONLY the lapband works.

Complete and utter failures.

Time to hang our heads in shame that we didnt get a band. Maybe start a support group for thoes who will be devestated by this news.
