Bariatric Facebook Pages
Hi Jwy,
Our members don't post about FB groups because it's against our Terms of Services. If you want more responses from this site here are a few suggestions so the members will feel you are legit and not a troll account. Our members are the BEST!!!
*As you can imagine some questions have been asked and answered over and over again. Check out our FAQ section. You can find it under Resources, Weight Loss Surgery Questions and Answers.
*Do a search to see if your question has been asked and answered before. Use the search icon to the left of your user name in the upper right hand corner.
*If you don't find an answer to your question post it on the forums.
*Subject line is key - include key words so the community knows exactly what you need help with and the right people will respond. Instead of "Need Help" try "Need Help, VSG, Vitamins".
*Always include surgery type, date of surgery and exactly what your question is with as much details as possible. You can add your surgery date, type and surgeon's name to show when you post. Let me know if you need help on how to do this.
*Add an avatar
Happy Posting

It's scary to see some of the information that is shared... I blame bariatric programs who don't provide enough aftercare/support. They don't get reimbursed but it's shortsighted... success stories encourage others/referrals = more $$$$$ for them and most get dinged for readmitting people/complications so more support = less readmitted. I am a member of a few FB groups and add my hopefully helpful/factual 2 cents or link to better info when I can or when I see scary answers... but you hear what you want to hear... sometimes people are seeking validation versus reality.
Yes, the admins can be horrible too. Anyway, never again for me.
To the lady who asked; sorry but I'm not comfortable sharing the contact info for these groups, as I believe they are dangerous and should be shut down. But please keep coming back to OH. It is a wonderful resource with excellent information and fantastic support!

in addition tot hose groups being dangerous, you are wise to not post face book pats as it is a violation of OH Terms OF Service.
