Pay the extra money and get the TT with the extended incision or LBL.

Read through the posts below.

Your doctor can make an argument that you need the TT. My insurance company paid for a Lower body lift after I lost 300 lbs.

Wow that's awesome!!  I've been told my insurance covers it with the right documentation from my doctor so fingers crossed I'll be approved as well when I'm ready (only 3.5 weeks post surgery so I have a ways to go lol).

Read this post - it seems people are happy with him and recommend his doing the 'extra'.   If you need the full TT or even the expended inscision, you want it.  Get another pre-op appt with him to discuss the possible extensions.  Call your credit union or credit card companies or whoever will help you cover any additional costs.  It is probably be chaeper to get it done now rather than in a sep op later.

Second, I don't want to hear any more complaints about the Canadian Health Care System - you are lucky to have this surgery covered.

I hope I don't sound too stupid but, what is Panni?

It's short for panniculectomy, removal of the excess skin on the abdomen. It's the most basic plastic surgery on the midsection. More extensive surgeries are tummy tucks or lower body lifts.

As Grim Said. It's removal of skin but generally not tightening the muscles or moving the belly button. It is usually not pretty. Just cut and sew which is why most people "upgrade" to a full abdominoplasty.
