are you able to bake it? is there a healthier alternative now that you are post WLS that you can turn to?

The closest I could find is gluten free matzo.  I suppose you could bake it but that would take some of the fun out of it lol.

Fun thread read!

Candy corn & peanuts (like a payday bar)

When I was sick I always wanted Egg Pastina with Butter & Cheese (even as an adult... it's an Italian/Sicilian kid thing.)

I would only eat Thanksgiving turkey cold (still sort of prefer it cold) dipped in mayo

White Rice, Butter and Dried Dill (this started in college it was a no money thing)

Now...

Well I don't eat pasta, rice, bread, and LOL no candy corn or mayo so... changed... pretty much everything ;)

My cousin's daughter named the pastina "Stucky Soup" - because it gets all stucky?!

Thank you! I figured it would be thought provoking! I allow myself to partake every now and then... but thankfully, I now have the self control to not go overboard!!

My Mom used to make homemade french fries. We would make sandwiches out of them. Fries, white bread, mustard, mayo and onion.

Do you have a post WLS alternative?

since I don't eat bread anymore and rarely eat potatoes, I have no alternative for it. But it did kind of have a potato salad flavor only better.

I never did the butter and bread with sugar...  although I DID do toast with tons of butter, with cinnamon sugar...  That's close!  So good!  Had to have lots of melted butter to sog up the globs of cinnamon sugar...  so yummy!

My all time yummy thing though is to glop a bunch of butter on one side of a couple pieces of bread, add a bunch of garlic salt to it, then throw it into a frying pan with a TON of cheese then add the top piece of bread with more garlic salt.  Fry it all up till it's gooey and melting out.  I crave this almost every day but don't know how to make a substitute for it...
