A fun topic for this fine Tuesday!

Prior to WLS, what foods did you mix together that you thought was soooo good, but someone else thought was weird?

...and how have you changed now that you have had WLS?

Mine was Goldfish crackers and Apple Juice prior to WLS, and now I have changed it to sugar free apple juice (water with an enhancer) and a piece of cheddar cheese!

When I was a kid-I loved butter and sugar sandwiches. It's exactly what it sounds like-butter spread on bread with sugar globbed on and spread in. I'd easily kill two of them plus chips and cookies and a glass of milk. And it was something I'd make myself-my mother probably would have questioned my judgement a little bit. I also liked mayo/ketchup sammies-no meat-no cheese...just condiments and trusty ol' white bread.

Not sure this counts, but when I was pregnant with my oldest I craved crutons and evaporated milk. Not together...haha.

edited to add: As an adult, I did away with all of those wonderful gourmet concoctions.  I would still eat raw cookie dough for dinner sometimes. ( way before RNY )

It was an old poor person Sicilian thing to broil old bread with butter (often margarine) and sugar on it.

Mmmm, diabetes!

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

We had a neighbor that was a nurse (of all things) that would serve us these for lunch if we were playing at their house. I knew even back then how wrong that was!

I would do a variation of that and put it in the toaster oven... so good

or even peanut butter sandwiches with Oreo cookies inside

Holy smokes.. I forgot how much I loved the butter sugar sandwiches...very thick on butter and sugar..

Another was butter and mustard sandwitch.  When camping -bread+ thick preserves+ sliced onions.
