Well, I'm on the other side now
It was kind of terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time. I'm very sore and having a hard time getting out of bed. I was discharged today, and my parents are letting me stay with them for a few days (as long as I need, really, but trying to minimize my time here.)
Regardless, it's now done, and there ain't no turning back, although the though ran thru my mind several times on surgery day. My surgeon said my surgery went perfectly, and I have 6 nice, clean laparoscopic incision sites Now the recovery towards being able to move around at a more normal pace.
I grabbed a stack of those 30ml liquid med disposable cups from the hospital and would fill three up and sip on that slowly until I was confident with my pacing. Or you can use a measuring cup and limit your self that way.
Find a system that works, and sip sip sip and walk walk walk.
Good luck, rest up!

I've been thinking about you and wondering how you are. My surgery is Tuesday.
