Carb and sugar cravings
Eggface, so agree on logging. When you look at the bottom line and you are already at xxx calories, you have to make a conscious decision to go over. Makes it very much harder to do. I don't have answers yet but I do know that I have a much better chance of sticking to the number I have if I am writing down EVERYTHING that goes in my mouth... before it goes in but as soon as I have eaten it if it is not planned.

You may not be craving the 'more' per say, but because you are conscience of what you should be eating and knowing that these things are not 'optimal' for you, that you see the craving as more pronounced. Keep working on it, keep walking away from the bad, know YOU have control over this, don't lift the fork, raise you mind to the goals you want to achieve and keep trucking!

You may need to really look into stress management techniques. Stress does not go away but we can acknolwdge the urges and gain confidence that they will pass. I have found help with Mindfulness - really focusing on what your are expreience. If stress is an issue, you need to be open to changing how your handle stress.
You have to find what works for you. Now that you/we no longer have food to help us cope, we need other skills.
Sharon
I agree Sharon. Did you find that by meditating (I'm assuming that's what you're doing?) you were able to make these kinds of changes? Sometimes the need for sugar is overwhelming when I get home. Maybe just stopping and breathing for a few minutes when this happens will help. Thank you!
