As of a few day ago, I have lost 30 lbs. I would sound more excited except it doesn't FEEL like it. When I have lost this weight before and lord knows i have done it probably 10 times in my lifetime , I felt so skinny! but I think since I started out the heaviest of my life AND it has come off so easily, it doesn't seem real. I don't feel fit an strong. I have had to WORK for this. But i ma just 7 weeks post op so am now working .. got up at 530 this morning and got on the treadmill- walked a half mile on my lunch hour and just signed up for a weekly yoga class. I want to be thinner and healthier but i want to be FIT and Strong as well! so i am on my way.

I ordered some work clothes ( my home clothes are baggy, stained jammies and yoga pants and sweatshirts ) and I ordered sizes thinking i will have time to get into those sizes.... well, here this morning i put on a lovely pair of navy blue slacks and WALA! they fit! 3 sizes down from what i started.. AND I can sit and BREATHE in them..

Dam skippy, kids! This whole WLS is working and life is good!

Hi Pepper

If you are not doing it start now....  Take a photo at least 1 x a month, in the same place if you can.  Trust me, there will be times when you will feel WTHeck and may hit a speed bump.  You pull out those photos and you will see just how far you have come.

Congrats on the new size pants....  YOU GOT THIS!

I was losing like crazy and then stopped losing for 9 weeks. Needless to say I wanted to take a long walk off a short pier.  I knew if I stayed the course with eating and working out I would start losing again.  I pulled out my monthly photos and was shocked to see how far I had come from 330 pounds.  Also, take your measurements   Those photos helped me stay the course and once I started losing again it didn't stop.

Good Luck!

Congratulations on your success, you are doing great.

Just one thing I learned from my journey - never ever by anything, which you have not "tried on" and which does not fit "now". This journey is so unpredictable that you never know, which body part will get slimmer next.... And sizing is soooo different now - I just bought some sweat pants today - I started out with size XL and finally bought size M! And I am still overweight! Weird, weird, weird.....

I have always hated shopping! believe it or not. I discovered on line shopping and rarely even step foot in a store now( for clothes) the thought of trying on clothes in a dept store right now freaks me out.. maybe when I am at my goal weight I will be able to!

I go to Goodwill... I go through sizes so quickly that I can't (and don't want to) spend the money on new ones until I'm at goal :)
