Surgeon said if one of the stones moved, I would be in bad pain.  He said RNY and gallstones are not a good situation. I did not want surgery, but am glad it is over with.

I wish you a good and speedy recovery!

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

Two months back I had my gall bladder removed as it was not functioning properly. It was laproscopic and I was in so much pain I had to have an epidural. There was no respite in the pain, sickness and had difficulty having food. The pain was excruciating, upto an hour after food. I could never lie in same position for too long and stand up. I used to sweat excessively, get a bile taste in my mouth and fatigue, to add to my woes. My life was a complete mess. Tests said it was SOD - a problem with bile duct , still remember those dreaded days. There are some simple steps which can be adopted speedy post-surgery recovery http://www.c-care.ca/blog/post-surgery/tips-speed-post-surge ry-recovery/ . Hope people who are going through post operative recovery care follow these simple tips to speedy recovery.
