Besides the sheepskin slippers do you have any other tricks for being able to regulate your temp? Or did you just luck out with it?

It has improved over time, but I still dress in layers and carry a sweater.

I moved down south after losing weight because I couldn't deal with the cold in NY.

I felt I could no longer live in the north. I was completely miserable in the winters. I developed Reynard syndrome (my doctor believes it was from losing so much weight so rapidly).... or maybe not. Either way my feet would get so cold, I had to buy those hunter feet warming packs to put in my shoes and gloves. Even with that I would sometimes have to run my feet under ho****er to warm them up.

So we moved. I didn't know anyone down south....just looked at a map, and figured out where we could afford to live that was warm....and it was the best decision we ever made!

I love no winters!!!!!! I do miss fall...but defintely do not miss snow...days where the temperature dips into the teens....etc.

We have those too, been thinking about using them all on myself and telling everyone else "Sorry, none for you!" LOL

My feet were so cold I had to use the heating pad on them to get them to not feel dead then layered my stuff and blankets and cat to go to sleep! I'll send you some pretty fall pics whenever you need! :) It's so pretty in Michigan too for that, and I love not having the Earthquakes, Tornados, and CRAZY other weather, but the winters... sheesh!

Wow... When looking up the symptoms of Reynard syndrome, I have had a lot of those, for YEARS... My feet would turn almost 'grey' a lot and freak me out.... hmmmmm.... Wonder if I can have them check for that... Now to look if there is any good 'work arounds' with it, or things to maybe supplement to help reduce symptoms naturally...

There is no real treatment ofr it. I would recommend getting good hot packs that you can put in your shoes. They have the battery operated ones (but i've read the reviews on amazon about them-and generally they are not positive. There are times in the winter here, that my feet get cold, but it's usually just 1 day...and then it's over.

Yeah I was cold b4 wls & am still cold afterwards. I thought when I was pre op that maybe I was just too big for my body to regulate the heat right. Now I'm lighter & still get cold, often I turn off the ac in the control room at work, it drives my co workers crazy.

I live in Michigan too and was amazed that people were outside in just tshirts yesterday (it was in the mid 60's) and I had LAYERS on!!  I had a 32 degree heat thermal shirt, a sherpa lined hoodie  AND my winter coat!  I might need some footie jammies.....
