I am STILL having diahrea and stomach pains. Is my body just getting accustomed to the new tummy? when does it get better?

Where are you at in your diet progression?  I'd talk to your surgeon, but it almost seems like you might be having issues with something you're eating.  Sometimes people develop lactose intolerance post-op and the shakes can trigger that?

I am still kind of stuck in Phase II slowly transitioning to Phase III.. very slowly. I feel as if I am just finding out what i can tolerate and what i cant. Eggs are out... I have bene making protien pudding with low fat milk and eating cottage cheese..I wonder...hmmmm?

I am extremely lactose intolerant now. I would try lactose free milk and see if that helps.  If I have any lactose I get incredibly horrible gas and have issues.

Yes I am going to go with that theory. I just made some power pudding that I have been eating every day , only made it with almond milk. I have been LOVING my cottage cheese , I hope they make lacatid free of that!

Deanna, are you intolerant of all dairy products?

I can eat yogurt and cheese without a problem.  But milk, half and half, cream and ice cream bother me.

I didn't use regular milk right after surgery,  i used Fairlife milk,  which is lactose free. it's only now that I'm farther out I'm  trying things that i didn't eat before.  i think i realized how bad it was when i went to the zoo this summer and has a soft serve ice cream.  it made me so sick i had to leave the zoo early.

I agree, it sounds like a food choice problem, not a surgical issue. Maybe eat one thing for a day or two, see how the diarrhea and stomach pains are. If they persist, ditch that food and try something different.
