about the Nutri-bullet and a great smoothie. I have owned a Nutri-blast for years, prior to surgery.
Try a half banana, some flax seed (about 1/2 tsp) spinach, frozen blueberries and almond milk. Great to add some protien. Do not use the whole thing, just make a single cup at a time. Also, that way, you will not have lots of left overs. But i buy spinach and almond milk each week. All frozen berries good-bu****ch out for lots of seeds, especially in organic ones. Love dark cherries. I usually do that and maybe 1/4 of an orange, or a few mandarain orange pieces. Do not use too much citrus. It will wipe you out! I buy Dole mandarin oranges, the single cups and add about 1/2-1/4 plus a little juice. (Juice is 100% fruit juice) But dark cherries are great to use, I buy frozen ones at Sams, that and blueberries and sometimes others. If you use Mango slices ONLY ADD ONE SLICE. I use some almonds or walnuts once in a while as well. Watch out and do not add apple seeds. Experiment with different fruits and veggies plus spinach and flax seed. make sure flax seed is ground up small. I even remill it at home (takes a minute) with the bullet miller. I suggest you call the number, and inquire about Nutribullet book on smoothies and ask how you can make a single serving with the bullet.
You should use almond milk lots in it. Frozen berries add coldness. Kale is tarter, I usually use spinach, and also I would suggest trying Truvia instead of Splenda.

I was, tragically, vegan at one point, and used to have these constantly. The sugar is quickly astronomical. This is because spinach and kale when blended without fruit tastes much like New Jersey tap water - or possibly, is the only thing worse than New Jersey tap water - so a ton of fruit is required.
I modified it when low carb to do 5-6 berries and spinach. Even then it's still quite bitter and metallic. I wound up holding my nose and drinking it. Vanilla protein powder helps a lot. So do torani syrups - I would make a spinach and strawberry smoothie with SF vanilla syrup. I suppose that defies the green smoothie aspect?
I also make this one on occasion, however I mostly do it for variation's sake rather than the power of veggies or something. It also makes a lot and I usually just 1/3 the recipe for two servings. It's very low sugar per serving!
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

I also ran out and bought an expensive blender from Costco. You should be able to use it for many purposes beyond smoothies including making soups, dips, dinner entrees etc. Although most people will tell you to avoid the fruit, I don't have any issue adding fruit as my belief is that if it occurs in nature, it's ok for you. The fruit and it's seeds and skin (which a blender handles well) are one of the best sources of fiber.
So far, 2 years out this approach has worked pretty well for me.
