Has anyone experienced very irregular periods ?? I'm 8 months post op and my periods have been fine up until 2 months ago. I had my prior for a week like normal, but was really heavy. Then it went away then I got it back a week later and it didn't stop for like a month. Then it stopped for 2 weeks and just started again. Has anyone else experienced anything like this please let me know

You have a major hormone dump during the rapid weight loss phase.  You store estrogen in your fat cells.  When you lose weigh fast that estrogen gets dumped into your system and can mess up your cycle. It can cause some REALLY BAD mood swings too.  It gets better as your weight loss slows.

I have had the same problem, but I think I am perimenopausal. Is that a possibility? I didn't notice your age.

No I'm only 22. I don't know what's going on its still happening. I saw my doctor and got blood tests and an ultrasound done he said everything is normal. I am seeing him again tomorrow I just want to know what's wrong. I'm scared that I won't he able to have children and I really wanted to in a few years.

I'm sure your body is just getting used to all the changes. I wouldn't worry!

Mines not been that weird but this year it's been early or late or more or less.  I'm used to a pretty solid routine but it's been weird since surgery.  I don't think it's anything to worry on if it's just 2 months but of course if it's weird again you might have to see the lady doc.

This is absolutely common. Estrogen is stored in fat cells, so when you've lost a lot of weight the hormones all go flooding back into your body. Cue funky periods!

I hadn't had a period in years before surgery. I was normal for a few months, and then had about three weeks of constant spotting. My surgeon said that because your hormones can go out of whack, it was totally normal.

If in doubt, this is a great question to ask your surgeon and/or gyno. I'd suggest calling to see if they can give you some advice over the phone, it might go a long way to help reassure you.
