Definitely nix the the liquid calories - they're too easy to consume and don't fill you up.  Switch to something that has no calories.  Try unsweet tea, crystal light, lemon water.. there are lots of options out there that are calorie free.

Well you answered your own question, weighing and logging your food is the most important thing you can do for yourself. Staying at 800 or lower calories a day is the other thing.  You have to take ever advantage the first year so you can get your weight off,you thought you weren't going over 600 calories a day, when you logged you found that you were close to 900 and it was in the middle of you day

Lol.  Usually I try to get close without going over, particularly since my revision.  Prior to that, I was fine if it was a bit over.  When I'm feeling particularly anal, and want to be exact, I'll add or remove until I'm 3.0 oz on the dot.  My dog loves when I do that because he gets the little scraps I remove from the scale!

I'd be horrible on The Price is Right. I try to get close, but I ALWAYS go over.

I always make my portions and then weigh them. DH and I both get stupidly excited when we're almost exactly spot on. LOL it's the little things.

My cat gets very excited and begs for some of my cheese, so I know I will always eat a little less than the amount that I weighed on the scale.

This isn't encouraging me to get a cat.

My cat same thing. Shrimp, fish, meat, cheese... Even my almond-coconut "bread", that he goes crazy about..
