See, that's so interesting to me! I'm 5'5" so I don't get how that works at all lol.

On my first big weightloss 10 years ago at 155 - 160 I wore a size 10. I guess it depends on your build/body type. Some people are petite framed. I have real curvy hips.

I'm the same height/weight, and I wear between a size 10-12.  That being said, I have one pair of size 8 jeans that I still wear.

Yup.  Sizes suck.  I wear between an XS and XL in tops.  What's up with that?

After finally being able to boy clothes of the rack, I was confused totally. Like I wear a medium in a Columbia or IZOD Shirt, but have to get a large in something like a Ralph Lauren. Size should be size across the board you would think.

Size inflation in the US especially.  What used to be a 10 is now a 4 or 6.  Apparently this happened so that us overweight Americans would feel better about ourselves.  Whoever heard of a size 0 in the past?????

And they definitely don't seem consistent even in the same store.  At Talbots some size 2s fit, some are large, some are small for me.

I believe it is referred to as vanity sizing....this term has really taken on meaning in the last few years. We the post overweight are now into sizes that matter to the 'label' folks and those that which to purchase smaller sizes.

Sizes are screwey. Most of the pants I own are a size 6, so this is what size I say I am (at 140 pounds). But I have pants in lots of different sizes depending on the brand. The funny thing to me is when someone with measurements 3-4 inches larger than mine claims to be a smaller size.
