Going to Dinner tonight for the first time
Hey everyone, I'm almost three months out from gastric bypass and I'm going out to dinner and trivia tonight. Worried about eating out but I was thinking about getting a grilled chicken Caesar salad with no croutons and dressing on the side. Think this will be okay? Other option is cheeseburger with no bun with a baked potato? They don't have a grilled chicken plate.
Going to a place called Moonrunners, they were on Bar Rescue on TV. It's like a sports bar so all other food is like wings, fried stuff, etc.

I actually have wings fairly often, we get them from a place that doesn't bread them. One wing is 80 calories, 6g protein, so not as bad as you might think. Plus you can nibble on one or two over the course of the evening, and it's easier to get an order to share with others.

If you've eaten lettuce in the past and can handle it, the salad sounds fine. I'm sure you know how horrible the dressing is for you, so of course use that in moderation.
Burger no bun is another option, if you've been able to eat ground beef. I'd skip the potato all together. I don't ever eat potatoes anymore, but for me it's because they are a trigger food and I'd be skipping the protein to eat the potato, lol.
Have fun and enjoy trivia night. I love trivia in a bar and haven't been in years.
I would skip the baked potato . You can Ask them to lettuce wrap your cheeseburger or grilled chicken salad no croutons should be fine. I usually get wings mainly because you can typically order just a few .

sometimes tortillas are hard to digest I have that problem tried one ONCE and got sick. so no more tortillas! I normally get a burrito with chicken or hamburger and beans , unwrap it and just eat the insides. if that's possible

Lots of great options here! Steak, the smothered chicken, you could do the "add chicken or shrimp" to someone else's entree. They might be willing to do the catfish not breaded. Any of the sandwich/burger type things with no bread.

Grilled wings, definitely a good option. And dark meat tends to be easier to eat.
