Solutions for thighs rubbing together in dress?

Stupid question here.

I've been wearing more dresses, which I like. And my thighs rub together because of the loose skin, no problem - it doesn't bother me, they're covered, no one can see. But I'm going on vacation and my dresses are comfortable and I'd like to wear them while walking around. But the thighs rubbing together are an issue.

This is a stupid problem that I have never had before because I haven't worn dresses in years and years. Do they still make bike shorts? That's what I wore when I was like 10 to help with that. I don't need something to suck in my stomach or anything, just something that is comfortable to wear under the dress, but tight/not baggy so not to be able to see while in the dress.

They have spanx like shorts that are super comfortable. With nicely finished thigh portion that is no biding. (loose) . I often buy 1-3 sizes bigger - I don't want that to bind me - but to prevent the rash...

But if it is not and I want to wear a dress and not undergarmet- I use antiprespirant like stick and rub it on the place that may rub together... (dove, secret - the unscented one) or a powder - like the one you would put in skin folds so they don't "stick together"

Or you can look for short like slips - that can be worn for trousers or dresses..like that - an example..

Thanks Hala! I'm wary of the roll on stuff because I would be leaving in the morning and walking around all day. I just don't know if I believe it would last the whole time. I like the idea of not have to wear another garment but I don't want it to wear off.

Thanks for the link :)

Look for something called "body glide." Marathon runners use it so it's designed to hold up under sweat for a LONG time. I use a slightly different type for when I'm biking and it works just fine.

the make 1/2 slip loose fitting - up to the knees - that looks like "pantaloons" I had a few pairs when i was bigger. .

I do the same! Spanx type shorts or antiperspirant.

I just got the Skimmies in today and they are SO perfect! Exactly what I'm looking for but didn't know they made it until you and Kat both suggested it. Now I can pack a dress or two for NYC and not worry about that part. Thanks :)

Anti monkey butt powder will help with the friction if you want to try without special undergarments.

I wear bike shorts since I wear skirts 95% of the time.  ModCloth has some cute ones called "across town" that I like and wear most often!

I can't speak specifically to the thigh rub thing, but I often wear Jockey Skimmies under dresses and skirts because I don't like wearing a slip.  They are very comfortable and not at all hot.  I find them at Kohl's on sale for under ten bucks.  I think they'd work perfectly for your needs. Skimmies
