Slowly but surely!
Im not sure how your plan is but nibbling every hour is the exact opposite of what they want me to do. It's been tough to set meal times but they said nibbling all day is one of the worst habits you can pick up .....eating a tiny amount is normal but it counts as a meal. Also you should be weighing everything you put into your mouth so even if it's 1 ounce it counts . Maybe that's a good place to begin, logging everything and measuring or weighing it. My fitness pal is easy to use and it helps you keep track.. Little bites add up so I'm often surprised when I think I've done ok during a long work day, then I put it in and it always adds up to more than I thought I had eaten .

:/ Maybe that is my problem. I don't have a food scale, and can't really afford one. I tried a four dollar one from walmart and it broke. :/ I will try to see if there is a different one...
Speaking of my plan, he didn't say not to do this, but he did say try to push myself to eat a little more at a time so I won't be hungry 30 mins later. But I mean I will ask him if it against the "rules" next time. He is happy with my progress, and isn't worried at all. He says those who lose it slowly keep it off better. But I am still concerned if I'm doing it wrong, so I will ask :) Thanks!

^^^^ Absolutely spot on. To the OP, if you are taking bites/nibbles of things -- you are basically grazing. This will definitely hamper you in the short run, and be even worse in the long run. A decent digital food scale is at most $10 on Amazon. Food Scale for $9.88

I went crazy and spent 12 bucks on a food scale. It's absolutely the best money I ever spent. It's worth its weight in gold.
Estimating gets us fat again. If I see someone sayibg tgey ate 3 ounces of something, I know they are just guessing. I ate 3.15 ounces of deli ham for a snack yesterday.
Inerestingly, when shooting for a desired weight, I'm always over. It was 3.15 ounces, not 2.85. Or 4.4 ounces, not 3.8.
Why is it always over, and never under?
