thank you guys.  Today Is better than yesterday.  Haven't been able to drink much of anything and food still makes me nauseous. But I am not in that much pain. Overnight I went into a coughing frenzy and almost lost my mind.  The incision in my left side hurt everytime I coughed.  But I drunk some water and it stopped.  Whew!  Scale still is five lbs over from surgery date.  Doc said it's still air and swelling. When does this go away?

Keep water at your side and drink every 3-5 minutes. Dehydration can cause or worsen nausea. The extra weight will probably be gone in the next week. It's mostly fluids and swelling. Walking will help with this as well.

The diarrhea for me lasted maybe a week and a half. Was only getting in liquid, so only liquid came out. Once I started introducing more solid stuff it firmed up :)
