Does anyone eat chopped bbq for protein?  Is that okay to eat.

BBQ sauce tends to be loaded with it.  Some rubs also contain sugar.

commercial bbq sauce is FULL of sugar, (same as coctail sauce, ketchup, etc)

it would be best to ask for it dry and bring your own sugar free bbq sauce. they sell a great one at walmart

Also, as with all "new" things, you probably want to try it at HOME, first, in case it doesn't sit well...At 14 years out, I STILL cannot tolerate pork. No idea why. I gag, choke, carry on...not real pretty...and nobody warned ME to try it at home first
