Friend provided response....the best,

So, I just got home from having breakfast with two ladies I worked with for years.  One I am very close with and the other one I just had a great working relationship.

Anyway, the one had not seen me since I had surgery (down 144lbs) I hadn't share the event with her...someone else did.  After basic chit-chat...she ask, " Why didn't you just go on a diet and exercise plan instead of surgery?"  I did  not even have a chance to respond.  Other bestie says to her...."And why didn't you find a husband the old fashion way instead of going online to shop for one??"

OMG!  I could not help myself.  I just went into uncontrollable laughter.  It was hysterical.  She was obviously annoyed with my friend!  But, honestly you would have to have been there.  Then, to add to discomfort, my bestie says...no kidding " With friends like you, who needs enemas?"  I excused myself to make a phone call.

I returned and a great conversation ensued without any hesitation from either and without any further WLS talk.  Gotta love this one.  I never would have come up with that on my own. The ultimate shade!  I have been asked so many times about the old diet and exercise.  It was a delight to have someone else answer for me.

I hope someone gets a laugh from this post.  I realize it was quite inappropriate but it has made my day.

Congratulations on your success!!! You did handle this well.  For me, this is why I'm keeping my upcoming WLS a secret.  I have not told one person on this planet that I'm getting this done.  I had plenty of people in the past telling me just put on running shoes and exercise lol.  I have tried every possible diet and countless exercise programs.  People do judge and say hurtful comments and that is just nasty.

I really did laugh at this. I hope the one friend who found a husband from the dating service realizes you are all friends and it doesn't really matter how you got to where you did.

You know, when I returned to the table, both of them were talking as if nothing out of order occurred. We all worked in the medical field for years.  The critical care environment does develop a strange sense of humor:):). And yes, we all adore her husband.

Who else could make a humorous remark about enemas besides old nurses?  Glad some OH folks laughed as well.
