Why do it? Because it's effing delicious, that's why.

I do lots of things that are less than optimal. I don't eat veggies, at all. I eat lots of red meat. Enough to cancel out about 50 vegans. I drink an absurd amount of diet soda. Artificial sweeteners are really, really, tasty.

This is the best I can do. It's a plan I can live with, long term. I could do better, but I'm 8 billion times healthier than I was when super morbidly obese. I've been pretty much the exact same weight for over 3 years now. That hasn't happened my entire life.

I'm not perfect. But I'm happy, and far, far better off.

Enough to cancel out 50 vegans- that cracked me up!

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!

Just be careful.  I let my bad habits get away from me and I had alot of gradual regain.  I am now getting a revision.  Diet coke may be the biggest culprit.  Those bubbles stretch our pouch.

You know, until I read your post I never really thought twice about it.

What I eat is not optimal for early postop and maybe not even for most folks farther out.  I drink a crap ton of diet coke.  And I eat both artificially sweetened and real sugar-sweetened things.

Oddly, I've never really paid attention to what others are eating.

Things look a hell of a lot different 2, 4, 8 years post op then they do early on or especially pre op.  All of us who maintain further out have different coping mechanisms.

Sometimes it's wise not to judge until you've walked at least a few miles in some post op shoes.

Who said I am judging?  I stated an opinion.  No need to get aggressive.
