On to year three... (pics included)
Tomorrow marks 2 years since my weight loss surger(ies). :-)
The absolute best decision I've ever made. I feel like a new person. I exercise pretty much every day. I began by walking, moved to running, added Zumba and a few push-ups and have completely transformed my body. No plastic surgery (you can see my loose skin in some of these pics - I'm not going to crop it out)...to keep it real.
I am happily engaged and plan to marry when my kids go off to college and get settled as young adults.
Some of my favorite NSVs: Traveling by airplane is a breeze, walking around Disney parks & Universal, no problem. Going up 4 flights of stairs at work? No biggie...the list goes on. Listen to the vets here - I'm so glad I did. Their best advice was "Don't get too comfortable."
Around 18 months I noticed it started to get harder for me to maintain. I cut back calories to find my comfort zone and I've been here for 6 months. I weigh every day (when I'm not traveling). It helps keep me honest. Good luck out there. It's tough but so worth it!
Day of surgery: 5' 6" 249 lbs, Size 2XL Women's Size 20
omg this picture is so hideous...not because of my weight because of that stupid *ss cap I'm wearing...

Looking great. You have done an amazing job. I love the before and after pictures. You look so healthy.
Thanks for sharing. The before and after and during pictures were what made my husband not as fearful of the surgery. He was unsure what would happen. I did the surgery for me. But it was nice to have him on board also.
Congrats on your 2 year surgiversary and great job! Here is to continued success and Health!
You've done an amazing job Lanie. You had a far tougher job than most of us at first, but you really bounced back to kick ass ever since. You're a machine.
