You don't need to be suffering if over the counter meds are not working, keep calling your surgeon until they call in a prescription for you.  The good news is this will get better with each passing day.  Just keep saying, it's worth it, it's worth it!

Keep us posted on how you are doing!

Days 5 to 6 were the worst for me - I eventually took pain meds and went to bed and felt somewhat better in the morning. You are also getting the anestheia out of  your system - so water will help also.  Hang in there, it gets better.

Are you drinking enough?  Try sugar free popsicles.  You might be nauseated because you're not drinking enough.  It was the only way I could make the liquid goals those first few weeks.  Feel better soon.

Are you measuring how much you sip?  Your body needs 64oz daily.  This is not something you work up to, you need it NOW...and nausea is one of the first side effects of dehydration.  Are you ready to go to the ER for an IV because you won't do what is required of you?  That's the label you'll get.
