Thank you! I am glad I've been able to help you in some small way. I know how scary it is to do this (WLS) a second time and to worry that if you don't do it right this time you are screwed! I don't post very much anymore though I do check in everyday. It is nice to know that it does help as I am not always convinced I have anything pertinent to add to most posts at this point in my journey.
For me I have found that I have to live this experience without an end date. I must be viligant everyday. There is no off diet days, rewards of food or overeating because of...something. This is it. I eat a certain way always. It isn't a diet that I get to stop once I've reached my desired goal weight, it is just the way it is for me now. And I hope this way of living my life will keep me in my comfort zone weight wise for the rest of my life. That is my goal now.
Keep doing what you are doing - it is all worth it!
I certainly don't feel like one! I'll be 45 years old next month and three teenagers will make anyone feel like a geezer!
But if you are referring to my relative newbie status in terms of RNY then I agree. I am definitely not a vet, but I do consider myself an experienced WLS patient having gone under the knife in 2006 for my first WLS. Thanks for being such a wise one Deb. I love your sense of humour and your honesty. Yours is one of my favorite voices here!
