My plan says 5 grams of sugar for anything but dairy and dairy can have up to 12 grams of sugar per serving

Not sure if you have a Kroger's grocery store where you are... or a Ruler's.   They sell yogurt ("cultured dairy blend") called CARBmaster in tons of lovely flavors.

One 6-oz. container has 1.5g total fat; 60 calories; 4-5g carb (3g sugar); 9g protein.

I also dislike Greek yogurt.  I find this palatable, some flavors I add a packet of Stevia sweetener to make it taste a bit better.

I've never had a problem with the sugar in Greek yogurt.  It is my go to, especially in the summer.  I keep it in the freezer and take it out at night and in the morning it is just like frozen yogurt, although some flavors freeze better than others.
