Surgery tommorw & nothing happened with Milk of Magnesia

What do I do?  I took 2 tablespoons (as stated on bottle) at 5:00.

So far nothing....ugh.

Surgery tomorrow at 11 am

Advice?

Joke aside: if we are magnesium deficient - our body may absorb the magnesium instead of causing  "the runs". 

That may be an issue for some people. Others - if we are constipated ( even with daily BM you can be "full of it") it may take a while for teh MoM to work. Unfortunately.

I am talking from experience.   When I had to have colonoscopy - I needed 2 days of prep to get"clean" ... some people have a slow gut response. 

nothing to do but wait. MOM doesn't work instantly. You will probably go in the early morning tomorrow.

Let your surgeon know and chill out!  The stomach empties very fast and, if you are clogged up, it is all in your intestines.  They cn handle it for sure.  Good luck.  Rich

You are lucky my surgery is the 15th and a day before I have to drink that stuff they give before you have a colonoscopy, a gallon of it...lol  It taste bad...but it sure does work!  

Update in case anyone else gets into the same situation.

The MOM did decide to work about 9 am.  SO everything went fine.
