The cake is a lie, but Starbucks is not.
Those are the people who should NOT have had WLS because they can't get their **** together.
Am I perfect nope, but for the first 9 months after my surgery I didn't sway once off my plan. Hell for the first month I stuck to just shakes and water because I was afraid to do any type of damage and when I slowly introduced pureed foods I ate a small bite and waited 5 minutes before trying another bite and wouldn't eat more than 1/4 cup of food 3 times a day. My husband was starting to get worried, but I assured him I was only doing it to make sure I was completely healed and wouldn't have any issues.
Now I can eat a cup and a half of something unless it is steak dam that fills me up fast.
A cup and a half seems like an awful lot even if you're post op for a long time. The nurse in my doctor's office is 4 years out and says she only eats 1 cup at a time. Just curious.
Try measuring out food and see just how much there is. I will weigh out 3-4oz of meat, cut it up and put in the measuring cup and then add some steamed veggies. Nothing gets stuffed in just put in loosely. It isn't as much as some think it is.
Everyone is different. Some people start out with smaller pouches than others. Plus, LG had revision surgery...that could be why. Being able to eat cup and a half isn't uncommon.
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...
