Chris - I had my VSG on 11/19/14 and have not had any issues. I do not take anything. I eat greens and veggies often, so not sure of that is what helps me out or not? I also alway**** my water goal of a minimum of 64 oz, again, not sure if that helps me or not. I really hope I did not jinx myself by mentioning I have not had any issues! LOL

I don't have constipation issues either, and take nothing for it. Regular as clockwork. And, the last time I had anything green was a year ago, and that was some cheese that was a little iffy. No veggies either, unless you count popcorn as a veggie. I do drink a lot, like 200 ounces a day, and have a lot of fat (and meat) in my diet.

Sometimes it's hard to figure out.

Miralax is what I plan on using. I've had to use it for 2 of my kids when they had issues. Worked gently.

I don't know what my problem is I drink tons of water and eat salads (aka fiber).  I exercise and I am active.  But I was having a horrendous time with constipation.  I tried everything.  I mean everything.  Including probiotics, fiber tablets, Miralax (a it's competitors).  Nothing really helped.  What I found finally helps me is simple stool softeners.  They seem to help me when all else failed.  I was about to go to the doctor and ask for a prescription.

I have a cap full Miralax and shoot for 120 oz of water a day, that seems to keep things

moving along nicely. If miss too many days in a row the following occurs.

Lots of water , and metamucil a few times per week. Don't wait too long before taking care of it, or deal with the consequences!

I am having a similar problem and talked to the NP at my recent follow up visit.  She suggested more natural solutions like prunes or prune juice ( was planning to buy some prunes today), adding ground flax seed to protein shakes, and adding chia seeds to yogurt.  I see miralax is very popular so I may also pick some of this up.

all good ideas. I was at the store picking up miralax and thought about getting some prunes... the only issue with juice is how much added sugar :( prunes I suppose would be much better. Had some miralax yesterday after work and put some in my kombucha this morning and forgot the dang cup at home :(
