I had surgery today! I'm not going to lie...it's been rough!! I was finally able to walk without getting dizzy and nauseated. I blame most of my crappy feeling on my nurse. She sucked!!! I had to ask for everything. Pain meds, nausea meds, ice chips. She has offered nothing. She was even trying to make me get up without raising the head of my bed! And something happened to my mouth while under. I have a gash and I have been spitting mouth fulls of blood. It's just now stopping. I'm starting to feel better. I hope to continue on this path. I have a new nurse that's way better.

Did you ask about the "gash" in your mouth?  "Mouthfulls of blood"?  Really?  And they didn't say anything about that.  I have had teeth pulled and didn't have "mouthfuls" of blood.  I would definitely question what happened.

Nurses have no clue what happened. That's all they could say.

Rachelp, congrats on your surgery!   Keep walking, moving those legs and getting up as often as you can.   Have the Dr look at your mouth, not sure what would have caused a gash in there during anesthesia, but they need to know so they can assess that and be sure nothing else is going on.   Glad you are feeling better, each day gets better and better!
