I read a few blogs on here that I cannot find now that said they pureed Wendy's chili. Is that during the pureed stage or at the soft solids stage? I am really looking forward to beans of all things but don't want to push anything g too fast.

I would say soft but if you want it during the pureed, but some take it home and blend it down!!

yes, i would throw it in a food processor. BUT my plan was no beef for 6 months- so I didn't eat it until 6 months out.

I had a hard time with it in the beginning - it was way too spicy for me.  A year out and I only eat 1/2 of a small (and still need tums!)

I was able to eat Wendy's chili during the pureed stage.  I didn't puree it, just chewed and chewed until it was very finely ground.  I didn't eat any large chunks of meat either.  Chili was on my surgeon's approved post-op foods list.

You can make your own and use ground turkey (instead of beef).  You can't even tell the difference.  Funny I just had this for dinner yesterday.  I use a starter kit.  So I only have to brown the turkey and add the sauce (and you can add beans if you want).  I mean once in awhile I will go out and make homemade and freeze it... but that's a weekend thing I do in the Winter.

Americas Test Kitchen has a turkey chili recipe in one of their healthy eating books that is fantastic.
