Do you measure by weight or volume? Do I need to get a scale or do it with a measuring cup.

I do both.   If it's solid meat it's by weight.  If it's anyyjjng else, I measure in 1/4 to 1/2 c servings depending on the food.    If it is a side dish I use tablespoons.

If you are worried about putting too much food into your new stomach, use measuring cups. Weight doesn'the matter.

If you are doing this to track your food for calories, you must weigh on a kitchen scale. Measuring cups are useless for calories. I even weighed my protein powder and milk.

Yes, my concern was food volume for my new stomach. I saw someone say a chicken sausage link was 3 Oz but I was thinking volume wise it was too much for them for how far out they were. There really is no other site like OH! I see so many people making some bad mistakes/habits. There are soooo many that it's hard to even chime in. I will quit looking elsewhere because I could see myself "learning" bad habits. Thanks Grim
