What ways are you increasing your NEAT?

There is a lot of evidence that NEAT is much more important for metabolism and health than exercise, so you are right on target.
In addition to what others have said, a Fitbit can really help. In addition to daily steps, it has the number of daily Active Minutes. Increasing the number of active minutes is a great goal. Exercising hard for an hour and then being sedentary the rest of the day can yield a low percentage of active minutes compared to someone focusing on NEAT.
