NSV Updates

So this weekend I was in Dallas. I went shopping with a friend at some of the designer shops and ended up in the Lucky Brand store... I love their clothes, but I've never owned anything there because they don't carry plus sizes... 

So I was over at their clearance racks, and I saw a shirt I thought was pretty cute in an XL... so I tried it on. IT FIT ME!!! So exciting! I still didn't buy it, because even with the clearance, it was over $30.00, and I couldn't justify that for a tank type shirt right now with me shrinking... but still!

I also bought an XL sundress at Target the other day... the one I hemmed and hawed over buying. I had originally tried on the XXL, but when I went back they had sold it, and I had them check all the stores... all of the XXL were sold out. So I sulked, and finally decided to try on the XL. It Fit! It's a tiny bit tight around the girls, but hubs says he can't tell...

So what has been your latest NSV lately?? So much fun! I love this!!!

Me and my boy went to a Seattle Mariners game recently. At 4:20 p.m. the game ended (we won) and, we had 21 minutes to walk out of the stadium and 1 mile to the ferry terminal to go home. We watched the very last pitch and then beat feet.

We covered the walk in 22 minutes. We were on the third level of the stadium, so it took 5 minutes to hit the street. We covered the mile to the boat in 15 minutes. We missed the boat by 1 minute. We waited 55 minutes for the next one and just talked about the great game we jus****ched. 

It was really great to do.

DO NOT start buying clothes yet! It will only disappoint you when they do not fit in a month.

I am only buying things at Goodwill, or cheaper clothes... I know better, but damn was it hard not to buy that shirt at the Lucky store! hahaha!

yes, I do like lucky brand, free people, anthropology type stuff. I've just relegated myself to buy at thrift. once you get into 'regular' size it goes fast- im averaging about a size a month and have to weed through the closet once a month to remove things.

I did find two pair of lucky jeans at thrift, in size 8!! they were only $2 each!

I also wanted to get into this denim trend this summer- denim shirts/ jackets, skirts and dresses. founds escada denim skirt last week for $3!

and my husband hasn't really fussed at me because I've barely spent any money and each time I go out- only spending less than @20 for tons of clothes.

I guess I can start to look in the regular sizes at our thrift stores... maybe I'll even get brave enough to try on some things at Plato's Closet when I take my daughter this week for more 'band camp' shorts/shirts (think black Nike's and tank tops/ sports bras!)... she's an ex-small! Brat ;)

I just haven't even tried there yet!

We have a trip to Key West in 1 month... I realized this past weekend that the bathing suits I have are too big on me now... I am forced to go swimsuit shopping. I noticed that Target still has some, but in my head I'll never fit in those. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and try them on. I want to wait it out a little longer, but it's getting to the end of the season for swim suits. Not sure how much I will shrink in a month! I love having these problems though 

I'm going on the Hungry Girl cruise in January.  Since summer clothes are now on sale I decided to buy a few things to wear on the cruise, so I went shopping the other day.  At Kohl's I ended up buying a cute maxi sundress and shrug...both in a ladies medium.  This is a very far cry from last year when I was wearing a size 24.  I love my RNY!!

I had to look up what "Hungry Girl" was... how cool! Sounds like you'll learn lots of things that you can share with us when you get back 

We are planning a cruise in March, so I'll need all the help I can get! Enjoy!

I love Kohls... well wait, let me say that I love Kohl's REGULAR sized clothing... I really don't like their plus sized stuff at all! I'm almost ready to go exploring their racks again!

I wanted to go on the Hungry Girl cruise so I asked a friend of mine if she would be interested in going too.  Now there are 6 of us going together on the cruise.  All of us are part of the bariatric center I go to and have become good friends through one of our center's support groups.

Oh my gosh how awesome is that!!! What an amazing group to be a part of! Have a great time! 

kohls has a great deal on swimsuits- they were 20$ and I had a 30% off coupon- I just ordered 3 because we are going to a tiny home convention this weekend and we are staying at a hotel with a pool- would be nice to get in it.

I figured 1 of the 3 would work...
