New to Weight Loss Surgery Forum
Good Evening Everyone,
I'm new to the WLS Forum. So I'm looking to find some help to understanding the WL process. I'm 3 months into the process. I've lost 10 lbs. of my 40 lbs. needed for surgery. I have a genetic history of weight problems. So I need all the help I can get. I'm 5'5" and weight 527. I have 2 kids. A 7 yr old and a 2 yr. old. So I need to get this done for a healthier life for myself but for them as well.
Thanks
Angela
Welcome to the forum. There is a wealth of information here. When I found it I just kept reading the day before and on and on til my eyes were crossed. If you come to a point that you want specific information there is a search tool at the top right that looks like a magnifying glass. Click on that and search away.

I'm so glad you found us!
As you continue to learn more about wls, take a look at the Duodenal Switch. With your pre-op weight, it's going to give you the most aggressive results. Your surgeon may not do that procedure, but it's worth the effort to get it.
