Sex after gastric sleeve surgery

Hello everyone I am new to this site I had a question for y'all that had the gastric sleeve surgery done. My wife had did the surgery now when we have sex she says that it hurts. Is anyone else experiencing this? I would love to know. I hope I can get some answers. Thank uou.

You need to get more info from your wife-- this is a two-person issue!

• Where does it hurt?
• What kind of pain? (Cramping, pinching...)
• What causes the pain?

Figure out what hurts and when, then you may be able to investigate the why.

How long since your wife's surgery? How old is she? Is she menopausal? Lots of things can contribute to painful sex. Our hormones go crazy with rapid weight loss, which may contribute. I have never heard that painful sex is a side-effect of weight loss surgery.

It sounds like something else is going on. I would ask her surgeon or gynecologist.

There are alot of undefined variables here.  It may or may not have anything to do with the sleeve.  Pain may be from the incisions still healing if she's early post-op, while another variable may be hormonal changes creating a need for more lubrication.
