My Fitness Pal
I signed up to use My Fitness Pal to track my food/water intake. I would like to customize it for bariatric surgery so I need to lower the calories count, etc. etc. I went in to do that, but when I want to "save" everything, it's grayed out and won't let me save it. It keeps going back to the original settings according to my desired weight and other personal stats that you put in when signing up. Have the rest of you who use this app set it to your personal goals? Example, when I put in my personal stats, it gives me a daily calorie count of 1200/day. Well, obviously for those of us who've had surgery can't eat that many calories per day. Any help you can provide on how to fix this would be appreciated.
Some sites consider lower your calories not healthy and won't let you. My best guess this is what is happening. Contact their tech support to see if you can do so. We have our Health Tracker here on OH you can use for tracking food, water and exercise. Check it out

It won't let you put anything below 1200 calories as a goal. They're afraid of being sued by anorexics.
It doesn't matter though. Weigh and track your food, and the site works just fine. It will give you a warning if you try to complete your day at below 1200, but that's no big deal. Just ignore it.

I believe it notifies you that when you set your original counts for calories/etc too low it says it wont let you publish or share with your friends?
If you log in on the computer (not your phone) you can go to Goals and edit your daily numbers. Not sure if youve done that?

The thing is, when I answered their questions as far as my height, etc. it set the goals (calories) for me to 1200. I wish they had a set up for Bariatric patients.
