Wow, lifetime on Wednesday?  I'll be curious that that consists of and how much per meal.  If you think of it, let me know.

The vegetarian protein powder I use is Plant-Based Vega Protein and greens.  I use both the vanilla and chocolate.  I think it really prevents me from getting constipated.  It also tastes pretty good.  Hey, let's keep in touch since we're practically surgery sisters.   LOL

Hi Lisa,

Great great how far you have come.  All manageable issues ahead.  I'm trailing you but maybe slightly ahead in weight loss since I strived on pre-op back in March toward July WLS.  Others have good solid ideas on a few of your issues.  Not hearing you mention anything about exercise, that would be the only item I would encourage you to share more and work on.  I have found that being in a catabolic state, you have to do aerobics, weight toning and stretching to make your CONDITION much better.  I am seeing/hearing too many people who only work on weight goals.  BTW, your weight goal I believe will be surpassed, so keep that in mind.

Thanks Rich for the feedback -

I was an avid exerciser before surgery. Weekly spin classes, weights and the occasional yoga class. Since surgery I guess I'm afraid to start back up again. I went to the ER a couple of weeks ago because of dehydration and am just barely hitting 64 oz now. It's not a matter of my not drinking all day, it's more how much I'm able to get in, so I'm afraid if I work up a sweat I'll end up back in the ER. Once I'm up to 80 oz comfortably is my gage to tell me it's ok to get back to the gym. Hopefully it won't be too long.

I hope you're right about my weight goal! I'm down 35 lbs since surgery, which is way more that I expected!

Lisa

Yay! It sounds like all in all things are going well!! I am so glad! If you haven't tried taking magnesium citrate before bed give it a shot. Start out with 250 mg. and go up from there. Should take care of the constipation and will help you fall asleep. I sometimes do 250 sometiMes 500. Congratulations!!!

Thank you Sylvia! I was taking Magnesium supplements pre-surgery... I think I can probably get the capsules down by now. Will give it a try.
