2 year out struggle

Try to go low carb. Doing high protein. I am only almost three years out. I did gain about 20 pounds. I was crapping my pants. I stopped drinking. I dropped the 20 pounds pretty fast. The weight does come off slower. But it still will.

I take meds for anxiety and depression and hormone therapy.

We really have to take a hard look to see what is making us gain. And knowing we deserve to be happy and healthy.

Take one day at a time. Or I really have to do one meal at a time.

wait...what? You were crapping your pants? Like Al Roker? Or do you mean that figuratively?

At 2 years out 1/2 cup of food may not always be enough. Usually better to go by weight. I find planning the menu for the day helps, even if it changes at least I had a plan. There is a daily menu thread on the RNY Board that is active. RNY = gastric bypass. I am assuming GBS is gastric bypass surgery.

All meals and snacks should be protein forward. Then you get to the veggies and maybe some fruit. When you are trying to lose the starchy type carbs should be occasional not daily.

Checkout the link to the 5 day meat test below. You might find it helpful. You can do this, you still have your tool...
