Ah crap.......

Should have known better than to order a dress from a site based out of China. A friend said her friend ordered from them and the stuff was great so I said, sure I'll give it a try. One word that comes to mind - STUPID. I should have asked what her friend looked like because I got the dress in and was highly disappointed. I ordered an XL (which is what I have been fitting into lately) and there is NO WAY in hell this was an XL. Convinced it's a small or medium. Got it over the tata's but the rest of it fanned out since it's a slit dress...exposing my stomach and undies - no bueno! I saw this on Pinterest and fell in love with it and had to order it, hoping that it arrive in time before my honeymoon cruise. Oh well, serves me right from ordering from one of these place. Lesson learned. So - public service announcement, don't order from sites in China unless you are built like a 10 year old girl lol. 

P.S.   I still love the heck out of this dress!!!!!!!!!

Whenever I order stuff from China, I usually go up at least two sizes. I picked up an adorable dress recently, I wear a 10/M in US sizes, and the XL I ordered was pretty form-fitting.

If you poke around, you can usually find a size chart. If you snag it from eBay, they'll often have a size chart (with measurements in inches) alongside the outfit photos.

Good to know. I just figured it was the same as US sizes. At least I got a good laugh out of it when I tried it on 

Was this in cupshe ? Or wish? I placed an order from cupshe and was worried about the size 

It was Cupshe, and it took about a month to get here too 

I've ordered from cupshe and didn't have a problem with the size. BUT it was a sweater and the front was kind of open-ish. And it took almost 2 months to get here. So I lost a good deal of weight in that time lol.

I'm hoping that by the time I lose the rest of my weight it will fit. I'm going to make it my goal dress ;)

I love this dress too! Well darn, I guess I have about a month to lose enough to get into the dress I ordered then...... At my losing rate ( 1 lb a week ) I'll get into it by next year .... Bummer!

I'm sorry about this, but at least you have a "goal dress" to work towards.  I agree with Julie, anything mfg in China, order a larger size.   There are a lot of stores here in CA and AZ that are owned/operated by Asians and all sizes run small from these stores or vendors.  Definitely go with a bigger size  and take it in, if you have to.  

On the plus side, it is definitely a great goal dress!
