My daughter baked a cake, I have been really good since my surgery so I thought what would 2 or 3 bites hurt! I learned the hard way!!! I was SO SICK! The frosting tasted like pure sugar, I asked my daughter what was wrong with it, she said nothing. I realized my tastes had changed. So I ate about 3 small bites of cake. It sat in my stomach like a rock. It hurt so bad. I didn't get throw up, but I really felt like I wanted to. I felt terrible  for about 3 hours.

I officially hate cake! I don't want one more bite...

Please don't take this the wrong way, but that was probably a good thing.  My doctor warned me about things like that.  So last night at work I ate a chocolate truffle and spent the next 1/2 hour in the bathroom.  Prior to surgery I would have had about 6 of them.  I no longer want ANY.  So I think it's a good thing you did it and now you know.  Nothing will take the cravings away faster than an upset stomach and time in the bathroom.

Congratulations.  That is the best news ever, cookies, cake, brownies, candy, all trying to kill you, literally.  Now don't forget.

In a very weird way, it was a very good thing. I had been missing sweets. I had been able to resists, but still missed them. So when I did give it a try, I didn't think a bite or two would hurt... meaning slow my weight loss, I didn't actually think about the dumping. Now I don't miss cakes because I associate it with pain and not feeling well, so yes it was a good thing (it just lasted longer than I thought it would, again not necessarily a bad thing as I can be hard-headed  )
