A bit off topic: Relationships, romantic

Not sure if I should respond or not, so-as to not beat a dead horse.

I'm not crying that "people are picking on me". I dont post much anymore, and when I do they're short encouraging things to people normally about to/just having surgery. My post to her was letting her know that her situation isnt isolated.

I'm not an expert, and I've claimed many times to not be. Sorry you feel that I project myself that way. I wonder how really enjoying a thermal mug, water additives, etc makes me an expert and allows me to discredit the vets/other members.

I didnt think your response was bad, for what its worth. If I gave an indication that it was (I can understand, I think my response to her was pretty generalized and could seemingly include every person response), I apologize.

I don't care if you post all the time or not, people can post as much as they want. But your responses to others posts almost always includes an aside (like this one did) about ignore the hags, ignore the vets. And your 'innocent' posts about things include that too. Hence the passive aggressive bull****

You do say you're not an expert you're correct. But your responses to people definitely implies otherwise. I'm not saying all vets are amazing and to follow them blindly, I'm saying that when you tell everyone to ignore them that is flat out wrong, rude, and frankly IMO dangerous to newbies. If the people who were 18 months out and further hadn't helped me, and I hadn't listened when I was a newbie I wouldn't have lost almost 200 pounds in 15.5 months since my NUT was useless.

And I don't care if my response was bad or not, my point was that if there were bad responses I feel it was warranted and to say that they're just being negative like always is a really generalized answer since the OP had a pretty inflammatory post.

You are/were right about lumping Hags and discrediting them. I have since revised my post, I admit I was wrong in it. Was posted out of frustration and not worded appropriately nor correctly. I'm not to proud to apologize and correct :)

Frankly if you have a problem with me calling the op shallow, then reply to me instead of grouping everyone together. If you bothered reading my post past shallow you would see where I was interpreting it as. Just because more than 1 person feels the same way & posts it doesn't mean people are "ganging up" on her.

If one thing, I'm direct, not passive aggressive, & I'm not going to post in such a way that you find agreeable. This is a forum & everyone is different.

Notice how I'm responding to you directly.

I am sorry I do post a lot here. I do also like to help people. The only gain I have is I helped someone. I don't have YouTube videos of myself. I don't have a blog saying how to lose weight.

You do shove your look at me with all of your posts. I rarely see you posting to encourage someone who is a bit lost. Not just a thread posted by yourself. One that you actually someone else has posted and you  have to read.

I do believe everyone here wants to help. We sometimes do get on our soap box and think we are cured right after surgery. I am almost three years out. I am learning so much about myself. Not just because I came to the terms of my alcoholism.

Weight loss surgery is a gift. It also gets harder as life goes on.

I include the links to my youtube and instagram because theyre completely different mediums than OH. :) One is pictures. Pictures of all kinds of stuff. My dogs. My food. My things I find helpful. I dont ever come here and say "OMG YOU HAVE TO GO SEE MY AWESOME PICTURE OF MY GREAT DANE ON MY INSTAGRAM!"

My youtube I've posted some progress videos. Thats it. I posted the first few, but I got told how annoying, full of myself, etc I am. So I havent posted them to OH anymore. I still offer the link so people can click it if they so choose. People have, people follow, people comment/ask questions, thank me for what info I have provided, etc. They're not ground breaking videos. It's literally progress updates. Again, pretty innocent :)

My blog goes hand in hand with youtube pretty much... Again, I havent been posting the topics from it or links to it in posts here (short of my signature).

I dont know why that feels like I'm shoving myself on you to look at me. :\

I do post on peoples threads. As MANY people have posted out (because its true) I dont have input on diet habits that people should follow, so I dont post specifics (I may provide what my surgeon group posted, but I dont go beyond that). I cant answer or help with a lot of things, other than posting encouraging words, which I also do :)

I've been in a stall for 3 weeks. I havent bothered really asking for help, because I honestly imagine there will be unhelpful posts for me than positive (lol, there I go again like someone else said, making myself the victim, right?). Instead I'm resorting to back to basics. Trying to get my calories back down (my milk for protein shakes was a bad choice...)

I am not trying to be mean. I was trying to make you understand why. Keep coming here. It is hard with the internet to have people understand what we write.

If you have a great dane we all would love to see pictures of you puppy.

Stalls suck.

Also worth pointing out: jumping into threads usually ends up in a complete hijack of "OMG SO MEAN" that completely takes away from the original discussion. If someone genuinely wants to help an OP, doing it in a way that says "everybody else is terrible, just pay attention to me" is ultimately not helpful to ANYONE.

Yep, I was a right ******g ***** on both of the OPs  threads.  The "hags" are not joined at the hip - read the posts between Grim and I last weekend.  We all have our own opinions and state them.  That's it!

That chip on your shoulder has grown into a sack of potatoes, bru**** off because you're looking like a right numpty at this point.
