Keeping down protein

I started my preop diet and the protein shakes are making me a nauseous. I don't like sweet and all these protein shakes are sweet. I tried Nectar Fuzzy Navel and can tolerate 1 shake of that but I need other options to get my full 60-80g in. So has anyone tried the unflavored protein powder in like kool-aid or their broth/bouillon? Is it tolerable?

You might try Unjury Chicken Soup.  I liked/like it as an alternative to the sweet shakes.

Does it thicken everything tremendously?

Unflavored protein powder changes the texture of things a LOT. It's sort of like adding a handful of flour to whatever you use it with. So I had an OK time adding it to soup, but something like Kool-aid would be really gross.

Lol I think you're right, probably not a good combo.I'll try it in soup. I don't mind thicker soup so I'll try that. Thanks

You can try Isopure pre mix drinks they are very good. It was the only way my body can intake protein for the first few months.

Yes the clear glass bottles. They have several flavors I have really been liking them. You can even mix them with other drinks like water or power aid zero.
