My revision surgery is tomorrow morning already!

I did HORRIBLE on my two week liquid preop diet this time. I believe there were only two days out of 14 that I didn't eat something I wasn't supposed to. I really don't think that I even lost any weight! The hunger was SO BAD, and I was dizzy and lightheaded until I ate something. I think it's because of quitting smoking recently. The nicotine cravings are way in the past, now I have a gnawing constant hunger between the fistulas and absence of cigarettes.

I will update with you all as soon as possible afterwards.

Thanks again to all of you for the support and helpfulness during this process. So much has changed with wls since my original rny in July 2002, being back on here again and getting all this new info and advice and knowledge has been very much appreciated!

Good Luck Tomorrow! I lost 14 pounds on the pre-op liquid diet mine was for 8 days. It sucked big time. I stuck to it and felt lousy most of the time so I understand that you needed to eat. I looked forward to the sugar free jello. Don't beat yourself up! You know that you are taking the most important step-surgery. What are you having? I had the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. It went well and no complications. Only gripe is I went too many hours without pain meds the 2nd day in the hospital. It actually proved to be a good thing in the end. My husband was hospitalized with Gall Bladder attack and had surgery right after I got home. I went without pain meds a lot that week so I could drive my children around safely. I am almost 4 weeks post op. Hiking, walking, etc. Feel that I am stalling a bit in pureed. Maybe too much protein? Not sure but will tt my teamon the 7th,  Good luck and safe surgery tomorrow!

Praying for you, I have the sleeve surgery on July 11, 2016. I had to do 4 weeks pre-op. I cheated twice, but that was weeks ago, I am praying I don't again. I keep telling myself I am not saying good buy to food, I am breaking up an unhealthy relationship I have with it, and it is true! No picking up the phone and calling my ex! I am blocking the number! LOL, Guess I need to delete those pizza numbers off my phone right now!

Good luck.   I just had surgery Wednesday,  everything went well.  I do feel a little lost as to the liquid diet right now and the 4th of July was hard with all the food around.   I am just focusing on my why?
