This IS the last time!  The week 3 stall is the worst.  Surgery is so new, you're adjusting to trying to put things into your body, and then you get no results.  Hang in there!

I am guilty. I know I am. I remember messaging Laura and Kim being worried that my surgery work or not. I felt pretty good afterwards. I think that was part of the reason why I worried.

INSTANT GRATIFICATION is what got many of us INCLUDING ME here in the first place.  Thank you for reminding me of that.  I had to stop weighing myself every day because it was making me CRAZY! Now I only weigh myself on Monday mornings.  Even if it's just a 1/2 lb, it's still a loss for the week.  And if the number goes up, hopefully it will only make me crazy for a day.

Brilliant, Julie.   Everyone, especially recent post ops, should read this and take the message seriously.

Luv this post! So many people start freaking out whenever they don't see a loss for that day or that week etc. It's good you put down don't panic in big bold red letters, some need that reminder, plus not everything is reflected in the scale.

One thing people ask me whenever I say I want to lose another 20, 30 pounds is How do you feel? It kinda takes me a minute to actually think on it & remember why I got this surgery in the first place but also to remember how I feel, & not let the scale determine how I'll feel. Yes a reminder to stay on point, but also remember how I felt b4 I got on the scale & how I feel after.

Right now I feel pretty good, even though the scale doesn't agree with me. lol

Just for a slightly different perspective - I did not lose a lot of weight initially right after surgery and actually on the 2 week liquid diet before hand I GAINED weight (I still have no clue how).

I was obsessed with being a "slow loser". And posted about it a few times. I was so upset because I saw so many other people losing SO MUCH in those first few weeks and I was just losing a little.

However - like Julie said with the long term trend - over the last 15 months I've lost 192 pounds. So there's that. I just want to make sure if someone else is losing slowly like I did to not freak out, it's still possible to lose the weight you want to! I'm 10 pounds from my goal.

Trust the process and be compliant like the smart woman said :)
