2 Year Surgiversary
on 6/23/16 5:55 pm
Hello OH Family!
Today I celebrate my 2 year Surgiversary. I must say that VSG truly has changed my life!
I am going to start by saying that I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy just 9 days ago. Pregnancy after VSG was needless to say...Interesting.
I did gain about 55 pounds with pregnancy and am working on taking it off. I have already dropped 24 Pounds since I delivered. I developed reactive hypoglycemia around one year post op and have hypothyroidism. During pregnancy, my levels were all out of wack; and I had to eat every 1.5 to 2 hours to keep my blood sugar up or I would get dizzy...or worse pass out.
Two years ago, I weighed 356 pounds. Today I weigh 225...my prepregnancy weight was 193. Since my son was born my levels have balanced out...my restriction has come back, and I hardly feel hungry at all.
I wouldn't change having our little boy for the world! I am well on my way to recovery, and I am not done yet. My journey continues and I know I will reach goal!
