Fat does not spike insulin, which is actually what triggers fat storage.  Insulin is a big culprit in weight gain.  It's so lipogenic, if you give yourself insulin shots in the same area, you wind up with a giant fat deposit.  Ketogenic diets are very good for weight loss, as well as overall health.  I get about 70-100g of protein daily.  The rest of the calories are primarily fat, then maybe 5-10% (at most) come from carbohydrate.

Fat also naturally suppresses hunger.  Insulin stimulates it.  Even a year out, when I eat very low carb and high fat I am never ever hungry.  It comes roaring back the instant I have a significant amount of carbs, even if its from fruit.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

I think there's something to it. I never did low fat, usually food that was low fat was low flavor too & to make up for the flavor they added more carbs/sugar which is something I try to avoid. I do luv me some bacon, but it does have a lot of salt, & nitrites yeah there's that but I figure there are worse things to worry about.

Someone mentioned healthy fats, that's cool, I do like avocado, but the nuts I can go overboard on & it ups my calorie count, plus all the carbs, just a bit too much for me right now.

Typically, the higher fat makes us feel more satisfied for a longer period of time.

Could mean that you will eat less overall because you don't feel deprived.

The tuna pouches are great. They're the perfect amount for lunch. My favorite is the Bumble Bee Lemon Pepper.

No, No, No..... I'm sorry if I was not clear.  I lost 18 pounds in a Month, not a Week.  I have monthly doctor's appointments, and from my May appointment to my June appointment I lost 18 pounds.  I'm sorry for any confusion.
