I can't agree more Kate. This is exactly right. Having surgery without this realization would have done nothing for me.

I found this page that sets forth the major types of revisions available.  Although the results are inconsistent, you may be lucky and one may work for you.  However, it appears like the advice provided here, that the initial focus will be on your diet and exercise and the reasons for your weight regain.

I know of 2 women *****gained 150-170 pounds post WLS, and then woke up, got back to their post-surgery diet and lost it and now, 10 years out are happy with their weight loss, without revision.  Although your stomach may have stretched, the WLS hormonal changes (insulin, grehlin, peptides) may still help you lose.

Question. Do you feel full after you eat protein ? If you still feel restriction then I would focus on what I am eating and drinking.

OMG! This sounds like the story of my life. I'm in the same boat. I had my RNY in 2005.

I just had a sleeve to an rny revision and am hoping that I can keep it together!

Aftrr surgery I found a great website called Baratratic Eating. they follow a plan called Back on Track. They have had successful loss of their regain.

who knows, if I had found their site maybe I wouldn't have had surgery.

Take care
